Circle of Nuit End-of-Life Doula
About Me

Hello! My name is Hannah and as a mother, I deeply believe that relationships are our greatest source of resiliency. In my work as a death doula, my passion is to make space for you to be with your loved ones more wholly, by clarifying your core values and translating them into a clear, steady plan.
Death and grief work has been a lifelong calling for me, beginning with a childhood love of Edgar Allan Poe and culminating in a Master’s degree in Thanatology (the study of death and dying). Along the way, I have gathered a deep well of practices to support this: a death doula certificate from Going with Grace, extensive hospice volunteering, a BA in Anthropology, formal after-death care educator training from Redesigning the End, and more than a decade of dedicated meditation and ritual construction.
Over the years, I have learned that the heaviest part of facing death, whether you are an exhausted caregiver or someone looking toward your own future care, is often the sudden, overwhelming noise of logistics. My background has trained me to look closely at complex, shifting details and bring them into a comforting order. I use that focus to build a scaffold around your family, taking care of the practical coordination to create a container for connection and presence.
Outside of my practice, I find great solace in nature. I am an avid backpacker, gardener tending to California native plants, and a student of the cycles of earth. Sleeping beneath the stars and walking deep into the wilderness has inspired in me great respect for nature, patience, and endurance. Just as a long trail only requires a well-designed map, intentional pack, and an attentive mind, navigating the end of life requires us to strip away the noise and carry only what is truly essential.
Death is natural and one of the most profound human transformations. It has been pushed down into the shadows of our modern culture, but when we bring it into the light through community education and shared conversation, we are afforded the opportunity to learn what it has to teach us.
Whether you need someone to help organize a clear roadmap for the future, step into the room to give a caregiver space to breathe, or construct a meaningful ritual for a home vigil, I am here to walk beside you on this part of your journey.
